行方不明になった大人気の児童文学作家を
３人の子供たちが探し出そうとする話。
英語圏の子供向けの本ではあるが、ストーリーの引きが強く、
どんどん読み進める意欲が湧く展開。
登場人物の言動に関する描写に比重が置かれているが、
ラダーシリーズのLEVEL2程度が読めるなら
大きくつまることなく読み進められる英文レベル。
子供目線で冒険していく楽しさと、
どういう結末を迎えるのかが気になって一気に読んでしまった。
英語の読解力向上のために手を出したが、
細かいところまで計算されたストーリーで短編小説としてもオススメ。
