いつもの３人組が、ミステリー作家の自宅である城を訪ねる話。
第１巻の登場人物を引き継いでいるため
そちらを先に読んでおく必要があるが、
ストーリー自体は独立している。
今回は見慣れない単語が多く登場して読み進むのに苦労したが、
見慣れない場所を探検する緊迫感を味わうことができる。
ラストがやけにあっさりなのは残念だった。
