おばあちゃんの家を訪ねたいつもの３人組が、
海の底に沈んだ宝を探し当てることを夢見る話。
フロリダの町で楽しく過ごす様子が微笑ましく、
そこに不穏な空気が少しずつ流れ出すところが面白い。
子供たちが命知らずにどんどん関わっていくところはよかった。
ただ、第４巻や第６巻と同じように、事件が解決する肝心の場面が
ほとんど描かれていないのが非常に残念。
それまでの緊迫感に対して尻切れトンボな印象を受けた。
