いつもの３人組が盗まれた宝くじの跡を追う話。
盗まれた宝くじを探すために３人組が奔走するが、
その流れが非常に説得力があり、
わずかな手がかりを辿っていく流れが面白い。
シリーズ第２巻「The Bald Bandit」に登場したO'Leary兄妹が再登場するが、
その生活ぶりも非常に魅力的で良い。
さりげなく伏線が仕込まれている筋書きに興奮させられ、
英語ながら最後まで一気に読んでしまう引きがある。
シリーズの中でもクオリティが高い１冊。
